KECA’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations

Krishnadevaraya Educational and Cultural Association (KECA) celebrated its Golden Jubilee Celebrations at Amara Raja Auditorium, Karakambadi, Tirupati on 2nd October, 2019.

The celebrations coincided with the birth centenary celebrations of Shri P. Rajagopal Naidu, an Indian freedom fighter, Social reformer, Parliamentarian and Kisan (farmer) leader and the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The Chief Guest, Shri Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao, Founder Chairman of GMR Group graced the occasion with his presence. The eminent Guests of Honor included Padma Shri G. Muniratnam, General Secretary, Rashtriya Seva Samithi, Shri Jayadev Galla, MP, Guntur, and Shri Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy, MLA, Srikalahasti. The event had the participation of Galla and Gourineni families, the promoters of Amara Raja Group of companies to reinforce their unflinching support to the association to expand its social services.

Key highlights of the Golden jubilee celebrations are

  • The executive committee generated additional amount of 3 crores to corpus fund to amplify KECA Activities.
  • KECA President, Dr. Ramachandra N Galla donated a corpus amount of INR 1 Crore.
  • Amara Raja Group of companies donated INR 24 Lacs towards corpus.
  • INR 50 Lacs scholarships distributed to 360 meritorious students to realize their dreams with more than 50% of girl students.

The day-long Golden jubilee celebrations included souvenir release, felicitation of founders, past and present executive committees, messages from the guests, cultural programs, inspirational messages for students and distribution of scholarships to meritorious students.

KECA has been working steadfastly for the development of the economically weaker sections of the youth through educational advancement and skill development. Till date, the association has supported more than 1700 students with scholarships that amounted to INR 2.75 Crore.

At Krishnadevaraya Educational and Cultural Association (KECA), we strongly believe that society's development greatly depends on the education and empowerment of its people. Therefore, we go the extra mile to support meritorious students from rural background by providing financial assistance to students pursuing Medicine, Engineering, Polytechnic, Science, Arts, Literature, and Nursing. We also train rural youth and make them employable through skill development programmes.

KECA has been supporting the meritorious students with financial assistance by mobilizing funds from different sections of society.
