Krishnadevaraya Educational and Cultural Association (KECA), was established in the Year 1969 and registered under Societies Act in 1974.

The Founders of KECA with the inspiration and motivation of Sri. P. Rajagopal Naidu, who strongly believed that a society’s development greatly depends on the education of the people in that society, established a non-profit charitable association to help deserving meritorious students. This is the foundation on which KECA was established.

During 1960’s Smt. Aruna Kumari Galla, along with her likeminded friends collected a total of Rs. 100/- every month and supported a few meritorious students from rural back grounds with low income to pursue higher education.

When Smt. Aruna Kumari Galla and Dr. Ramachandra N Galla migrated to United States of America they wanted to continue the service of helping meritorious students. So, they joined together with good friends like Prof. Kannaiah Naidu, Sri. M.G. Devarajulu, Sri. V. Ramakrishna Naidu, Sri. Oleti Krishna, Dr. E. Doraswamy Naidu, Sri. M. Chengaiah Naidu and registered the society.

Sri. P. Rajagopal Naidu agreed to be the first President of the association as a guide and mentor to shape the association. This humble beginning has now come a long way in serving the society.

Prof. Kannaiah Naidu, the founder secretary, developed good practices to run the association and he later served as President. Executive committee members of KECA over many years extended voluntary service that helped the society grow in leaps and bounds by introducing new methods of mobilizing resources which resulted in the benefit reaching a larger number of deserving students.

Dr. Ramachandra N Galla, the Founder and current President of KECA and Founder Chairman of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd, is not only the biggest contributor but he also provides guidance to the committee members in making the association a role model in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Future Plans

Over the years, the community has taken a keen interest in the activities of the KECA. The enthusiasm and financial support of several people including NRIs have gone a long way in driving the programs of the association. KECA wishes to support few needy students for the total course expenditure and also increase the scholarship amount for each course. The association intends to realize its objectives, and serve a larger section of the deserving rural community.
